INTERNSHIPS
“Studying and working? Two worlds that do not mix , at least in Italy: young people between 15 and 29 years old who have both training and occupational experience represent a scant slice of only 3.7% to the rest of Europe (12.9%) and compared, to developed countries like Germany (22.1%) and the United Kingdom (18.5%). According to experts, this is one of the reasons for the dramatic increase of unemployment in our country.”

Why do an internship?
- Because the combination of university curriculum and experience working in a company can increase the value of your employee profile in an increasingly demanding job market.[sc:br][sc:br]
- Because it is a great opportunity for vocational guidance. It helps you identify your abilities and choose the industry that will be most fulfilling for you to start a professional path.[sc:br][sc:br]
- Because it is a chance to acquire competencies and to experience the challenges of a stimulating environment while drawing practical lessons from both, proving useful when you embark on a professional career.[sc:br][sc:br]
The route towards the internship?
The route proposed by Career Paths is articulated in different phases that precede the internship:
You contact us stating your interests
Within 3 to 4 days, our Admission Committee will reply to your enquiry providing a positive or a negative answer regarding the counseling or the internship request.
B. The coaching process starts with the allocation of a Career Coach Expert who will work with you until the start of your internship.
All coaching takes place via Skype, Facetime or another online communication platform.
Our Career Coach Experts carry out the coaching process in three different ways:
Advising and personalized support: [sc:br]
Your Career Coach Expert provides you with the tools and the information you need to accomplish your path. S/He works with you on your CV presentation and on the best techniques to write cover letters. S/He helps you with the interview simulation phase (mock interviews). You will learn the most effective techniques to face an interview and to deliver an effective presentation of yourself.
Self Assessment [sc:br]
In this phase, you will identify your guidance values to focus your interests and skills and to establish your future goals in order to start building a plan for personal growth. You will identify your strengths while working on the areas in which you need improvement in order to acquire a more aware and focused approach towards the internship.
Advising with the sector expert[sc:br]
After completing the self-assessment, you will have an appointment with an expert in the field in which you wish to pursue an internship. Thanks to the experience of these professionals, you will be able to identify the specific scope most suitable for your interests and abilities.
Internship interviews
After completing the coaching process, we set up the interviews (through telephone, or with Skype and Facetime videoconference) for the internships which best suit both you and the company.

Once you accept your internship offer, you can start your eight week program with the company.

CREDITS
[sc:br]Internship experiences allow you to apply, in a working environment, the concepts learned in the classroom. For this reason, by completing an internship, you can earn credits accepted by universities and other training institutions.
Thanks to your experience in a professional company, it is possible to develop a deep understanding of the working dynamics and professional competencies required in each field of interest.
Students must assume full responsibility for contacting the placement office of their university to verify the accreditation of the internship in their university career.
Career Paths supports this process of assisting the student in the creation of a training project and in the identification of a tutor in the company.
The fee for the services offered by Career Paths is divided into two payments:
40% of the fee
is due at the beginning of the coaching and counseling process;
Final payment
is due at the end of the coaching and counseling process.
