Event Management Internship

  • Coordinating events:
    • Securing and booking venues;
    • Ensuring insurance, legal and safety obligations are adhered to;
    • Coordinate venue management, caterers, stand designer and equipment hire;
    • Overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently.
  • Selling events to sponsors;
  • Post event evaluation (performing analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).

Event Management Intership

The intern will be supporting the below duties:

  • Press and PR outreach;
  • Researching and cultivating relationships with potential retail partners interested in marketing their product/brand within the context of live events;
  • Identifying potential natural-fit sponsors and compiling contact information for each;
  • Drafting press releases and solicitation materials;
  • Liaising between vendors and clients to finalize event details;
  • Maintaining the company’s social networking sites and website updates;
  • Assisting with registration.

Support role to:

  • Researching markets to identify opportunities for events;
  • Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements;
  • Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets);
  • Agreeing to and managing a budget;
  • Identifying and securing speakers or special guests;
  • Planning room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations;
  • Coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings;
  • Selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners;
  • Liaising with marketing and PR colleagues to promote the event;
  • Liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event and organizing the production of tickets, posters, catalogues and sales brochures;

Event Management Internship

This internship will give the student a thorough insight of projects from the proposal to the delivery:

  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet expectations;
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project;
  • Assistance to communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships;
  • Back up to the management of supplier relationships;
  • Helping out with operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently;
  • Travelling to on site inspections and project managing events;
